Happy April 25th to all who celebrate- wearing a light jacket now!
I hit a new milestone of subscribers this week and I’m over the freakin’ moon. Thank you all so much for reading and subscribing it means so much to me. Okay enough of that, let’s get to it.
This week I disconnected a little bit so had to catch up on some pop culture myself. I took a little day trip to San Luis Obispo, stopping in Solvang and Morro Bay. It was heaven. Highlights include watching otters play and finally seeing the iconic Madonna Inn. I ordered their famous Pink Champagne Cake and felt like Bruce Bogtrotter trying to get through the giant slice. You can see a glimpse of the trip here1:
You’ll notice that even after my long day, I made it home in time to catch up on my shows…
What I’m Watching
The Valley
Y’all…The Valley is daaaark. The Vanderpump Rules spinoff is almost hard to watch. When I was a kid, we had the D.A.R.E. program to encourage us not to do drugs. If I had a kid nowadays, I’d just show them clips of these people and say “Look at what drugs can do to you! Stay off coke!!” Hard to see Jax Taylor, the once hot, model, #1 Guy in the Group devolve into this middle-aged, coke-fueled monster, but even the other characters are tough to see- Janet’s insufferable, Nia and Danny should not be having more children, etc. etc. You know it’s bad when I need to see more Kristen Doute to bring me some calm. That being said, I won’t be missing a single moment!!
Otherwise for TV, I’m back on my bullshit of watching The Sopranos and The Righteous Gemstones, so no big updates there. Also rewatching Season Two of Fleabag and reading The Scriptures (the book of the script of the first season) so maybe I’m going through it or maybe it was just my period-hard to tell!
The Pitt
Should I watch The Pitt? Sound off in the comments People keep telling me to, but I saw this fan edit on TikTok today and nobody’s mentioned this fine ass man with his dimple chin to me. Shame on y’all.
Actors on Actors
I also watched the Actors on Actors with George Clooney and Patti Lupone. My god, he will never not be charming and she will never not be fabulous.
Sacramento
I saw Sacramento this week and it was ya know..fine!! Love love love the cast. Michael Angarano (whom I’ve been a fan of since he was the little boy in Almost Famous) stars in, co-wrote, and directed this movie and it feels very much like a passion project, so I’m glad it exists! We need more people making movies they’re passionate about, even just-okay ones. To me, it was a story I’ve seen a million times- lost free-spirited man child and his anxious, neurotic childhood best friend are forced to confront their issues and face their emotions despite their best attempts not to. I left being like “ok so the message was men are emotionally immature and will bleed you dry and force you to raise them like your own fragile children in a relationship if you let them!” but perhaps I’m projecting?
Erin Brockovich
Rule #213 in The Official Law of Menstruation that you must watch a Julia Roberts movie at least once while you’re on your period, so I rewatched Erin Brockovich last week. It’s so good. Holds up perfectly. Highly recommend the rewatch if it’s been a while since you’ve seen it. I’m not personally attracted to George (Aaron Eckhart) but he does this drop-to-his-knees-fall-to-the-ground thing after his first interaction with Erin, and it’s perhaps the cutest romcom move in history. A few days after I watched, when I was in Morro Bay, I went into a thrift store where a man was sitting in the back watching it on his phone at full volume and I knew I was in the right place.
Also- as I’m still on the job hunt- I’d kill for the job she makes up for herself in this movie. Investigating the shit out of a case until everything comes to light. Idk how to do that without being a cop (yikes- no thanks, I’ll leave that to Olivia Benson!) or a lawyer (help me, I’m poor!) so if you have any insight, let me know.
I also watched a few mindless throwback movies recently that I’ll do a roundup of soon!
What’s in the News
I acknowledge there’s a lot of bleak shit in the news right now, even in the celeb gossip world, but I’m choosing to not report on that. You can find a ton of articles about it, so just know I’m not unaware, just actively choosing to not bring you down! And I don’t mean just the devastating news that 13 Going on 30 turned 21 this week!
RIP The Pope
I mean, this is bad news, but I’ll comment in the fact that JD Vance killed the pope the pope died! Felt weird to give him the normal RIP treatment because he’s a religious figurehead not a celebrity, but man- what a cool pope he was. I’m not catholic but I appreciate his constant emphasis on love, compassion, and empathy. I hope the world learns from his lessons and the next pope is equally as progressive.
This TikTok did make me laugh a lot-sorry!

Zaddy Pascal 4Ever
In case you weren’t already in love with Pedro Pascale, he wore a “Protect the Dolls” shirt to the UK premiere of the new Marvel movie after calling J.K Rowling a “heinous loser” - which she is!!
Um…Okay
Elizabeth Hurley is apparently dating Billy Ray Cyrus??? They hard launched on Instagram on Easter. I’m not into it!
Something to Live For
Lil’ Wayne is blessing us with Tha Carter Six in June.
Love & Margs
Kristen Stewart got married at one of my favorite spots for overpriced margs, Casita del Campo in Silverlake! I love their love.
Bieber Embarassing His Wife Again
Justin Bieber kissed Sexy Redd on the cheek and the internet’s losing its mind. That poor Hailey Bieber can’t catch a break. Also, am I sick in the head that I’ve never in my life found JB attractive until now, when everyone says he’s me*hed out and fully at rock-bottom? Yes.
Okay that’s all for this week! Thanks for reading! Subscribe and share!
I had to use this trending TikTok sound to feed the algorithm- gross, ugh.
